O-day

So today we had our orientation up at UNSW at 9am. We got there in large auditorium where they talked about random things to know about whether it be services on campus, how to handle the housing, travel, or classes. It was long and they gave us a break for "Australian Tea" aka tea and snacks. They also had a travel company their that they work closely with that gave us breif overviews of their trips and did free give aways. One of the girls I've been palling around (Aliza) with a lot won their trip to Fiji. Totally jealous but offered to possibly be a travel companion :D. After that we all headed down to the UniBar on campus for a B-B-Q. Hoped in the long line for food after playing a round of pool and got a hotdog. Most of us split up to go do another things, Aliza and I waited for one girl to finish some other orientation stuff before heading off to China Town to try Paddy's market again and meet up with a few other kids from U Syd. I didn't find anything at the market but others did. Afterward we went to a random chinese restaurant in China town (you walk though and their are people lining the walks shoving menus in your face trying to get you to go there...one convinced us at $15 a head for lots of food).

I came back, grabbed a quick nap and then met people at the Palace for some late night pool and general socializing. Nothing too intense, just casual fun and more "hey, meet this person."
